One of the most amazing spectacles on earth is the great migration that takes place across the River Mara between Kenya & Tanzania. Millions of Brindled gnu (commonly known as Wildebeast
) and interspersed with the common Zebra cross the river that is not too wide and yet has its dangers due to the Nile crocodiles and other predators that lie in wait to attack. The period July - September is the time to be in this part of the world to see the great migration. here you see the wildebeast heading in the direction of the mara river waiting to cross over.
